Thank you all for your support on this issue. To every parent and concerned person who has agreed to be all in, we need you. The following letter was sent in response to a report on channel 8 Houston news. On behalf of EVERY kid that attends school in fear, this is for you. You are worthy. It is not your fault. We love you. #stand Lets make this a positive opportunity to use our voices. Hi Shelley, Thank you for bringing light to a subject that I firmly believe has become an epidemic and persists yet today at Stafford Middle School. My daughter is a cheerleader, bright, articulate, loving, honor student, and up to 4 months ago was by all accounts a care free child attending the school you reported on almost 4 years ago. This school located in Frisco, TX has robbed a portion of my daughter Carolines innocence this year. We have watched her painfully slip into a clinically diagnosed severe depression and anxiety due to ongoing bullying at school. Our experience has been eerily similar to the bullying story you repoted on. This is a very private matter, but we have chosen to make it public for the sole purpose of creating awareness, education, support, and resources to others because we care and feel there is yet a ton of work and education needed. In short, we want accountability and answers. We expect the school to educate the bullies before they bully. Our family and support group has been called to the cause and we need your help. Our daughter sits in a hospital at this very moment. This has been one of the most painful parenting experiences imagineable. We have run the gamut of emotions. She will be home schooled the balance of whats left of her 7th grade year. We have decided along with about 1500 others in less than one weeks time to take a stand for these children. No child should ever be subjected to such hatred. It is disturbing how cavalier the attitude is at the top of the food chain for this school. They have said the right things, but the bullying persists. We are filled with empty promises as the bullying escalates daily. We desperately seek accountability and support. If they are going to talk the talk, we are going to ask them to walk the walk! Thank You, Frank Malfettone
