Thank you all very much for the Zozo healing wishes. Shes in great hands at Michigan State University, but shes going to be there for a while. She took most of the skin off her left hind leg, it was hanging there like a ripped off pant leg - the technical term they had for it was de-gloved.... it was quite horrific. The vet said it was a very impressive injury. Leave it to MY dog to be an over-achiever. Shes going to require major surgery, and possibly skin grafting. It will be a very long and delicate healing process, and very expensive. Just what we needed right now... its not like we are saving for a wedding or anything.....but at least my Zozo will be able to run like she so loves to again some day, thats all that really matters. Shes the best dog in the world.
