Thank you bluestarcooking For sharing halloween recipes: Instant Expert...Karen Elizabeth Watts It is fall, so it is time to think Spiced Pumpkin Holiday Shortbread! This recipe will take you all the way through the new year with lots of requests for more! Double the recipe and share! Spiced Pumpkin Holiday Shortbread 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup cornstarch 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice 1/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter 2/3 cup powdered sugar 1/2 cup canned Pumpkin Corse sugar to sprinkle on top Preheat oven to 300° F. Prepare a 9 inch removable bottom spring form or tart pan Fold together the following ingredients: flour, cornstarch, pumpkin pie spice and salt. In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream butter and powder sugar until creamy. Add pumpkin and beat for 1 additional minute. Add flour mixture and beat until completely incorporated. Spread dough evenly into prepared pan. Place in preheated oven and bake for 75 to 80 minutes, until golden. Remove from oven and sprinkle with sugar.
