Thank you everyone for the support in these trying days. Ive attached the obituary that will be running in the newspaper. My mothers strongest wish in her passing was for those of us she left to have an awesome celebration of her life, in her honor. We are having an Irish Wake after her her services Tuesday. Food, drink, and live entertainment by the McIans will be provided at her home at 1816 Harwitch Rd in Upper Arlington. Everyone is invited and wanted at this party. It was her desire to throw a grand party to celebrate her life, so if youre thinking I dont know if Im the person theyre inviting to that party the answer is yes, we want you here. Even if you cant make the services, please come join us for a party I expect to last long into the evening. I look forward to seeing you and thanks again for your support. ____ Denise E. Litle, age 59, took her late husbands hand and joined the Lord Wednesday afternoon after defying the odds in her battle against pancreatic cancer. She passed away with family, friends, and laughter in the room. Always full of determination and hope, she was preceded in death by her husband John F. Litle Jr., her parents Eileen Grimes Wein and C. Thomas Wein, and is survived by her loving children April (David) Holdinghaus of Salida, Colorado and John Litle III, of Zanesville, sisters Grace Wein, Maureen (Michael) Keebaugh, and Carol Wenstadt, nieces Jeri, Beth, Nicole, Brooke, and Shannon, nephews Tommy (deceased), Michael, Phillip, Jeff and Ben, and a huge, loving, supportive extended family. She will see her beloved friends again in a better place, and specially thanks Margaret for her tireless devotion throughout her time of need. Many will remember Denises selflessness, as she gave without slightest thought of return, made strangers into friends and friends into family. She was active with the Bishop Rosecrans Foundation, St. Nicholas Parish, St. Nicholas and Rosecrans School Boards, loved watching Rosecrans basketball, and Notre Dame Football. Denise moved to Columbus later in life where she earned her Masters Degree while working at the Ohio Department of Education and where she joined St. Andrews Parish. Viewing will be held at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, on Monday, August 25, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Father Nick Droll will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Rd. in Upper Arlington with a Traditional Irish Wake welcome to all who cared for her following immediately thereafter at her nearby home. Food, drink and entertainment will be provided. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Donate Life, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, or the Legacy Fund for the Catholic Schools of Zanesville, PO Box 485, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Visit schoedinger to share a favorite memory of Denise Litle.
