Thank you everyone for the wishes! Yes, I turned 30 today! A new decade! I have been thinking about it a lot this week which has caused me to reflect on many things. People say age doesnt mean anything, and I agree, but it is a mark of time passing and does cause one to think of the time that has been spent. I thought a lot about the last ten years and how I spent my time and it makes me feel happy :) At 20 I fell in love with my husband, and 5 years later I married him (best decision I ever made). Before a year passed, we found out we were to have the surprise of our lives, our wonderful little Ivy girl :) I spent most of my life on the back of a horse but when I hit my early 20s I surprised everyone by going off to college to study art. Since my first art class, at 22, I have never once regretted that decision. I have grown so much in the 8 short years that I have been studying art, I am so glad that I listened to that inner voice that told me I needed to pursue it, that there was something inside of me waiting for an opportunity to emerge. I have accomplished so much in the last decade, personally and professionally. The most important things I have learned in my 20s are, to let go of my crippling self criticism because it only ever held me back, also, to appreciate every moment, every breath, every feeling, every experience and every day, because each moment is a gift. Nothing in this life is guaranteed so I will wring every ounce of life out of every day. Heres to the next decade and what it will bring! Im ready!
