Thank you for accepting my request to join the group. I came on board in May of 1974 via highline from the USS Milwaukee. I was a PC2 at the time and operated the ships Post Office until August of 1977 when the ship was in the yards in Philadelphia. The Luce was the best ship I had served on with a great crew. I left with a lot of memories and only wish I could remember all the crew name at that time but some are members of the group. The night we changed to DDG38 I stamped quite a few envelopes with the new ships crest. I transferred to Yokohama Japan for five years and then San Diego where I retired in 1989. Proud to be a crew member of this group.
