Thank you for all the birthday wishes - overwhelming! Last night we said that if the weather was good wed go to Whistable to get a bit of sea air and if it wasnt that good we would go up to Covent Garden (one of my favourite places). So when we got up this morning it seemed as if it would be a reasonable day, so we got the bus down to Bromley South, queued up for tickets and were then told that there had been a fire further down on the line and trains werent going right through ... so we changed our mind and went up to London instead and across to Covent Garden. Had a coffee and a wander around and then had lunch at porters.uk/ - I had breaded mushrooms for starter and the most delicious fish pie that Ive ever had anywhere (including what I make at home - lol!). We wandered a bit further and ended up towards Leicester Square for an afternoon tea break - a cuppa and I had a dark chocolate torte. On the way back home, John bought me some lovely flowers, having already given me chocolates and the promise of money to spend on crafting goodies (in addition to those I would normally buy anyway - lol!). Ive had loads of cards and lovely presents. I wasnt feeling that I particularly wanted another birthday, but its been such a lovely day that I dont really mind being another year older - whats in a number, anyway?!
