Thank you for all the lovely comments about my old drawings from high school. I was always being told to loosen up and not to be so tight in my drawing, and that continued through art college. In the end I gave up art college after two years (I was studying fine art, a very difficult course to get onto, with only 19 people in my year), and decided to stop drawing and painting, and I concentrated on history of art instead. Then I went into book publishing and, to cut a long story short, I didnt draw or paint anything for another 20 years. My confidence had been ruined and I didnt think I could do it anymore. I channeled my attention to detail into editing! It took a lot for me to pick up a pencil again last August, and Ive only been drawing again for less than a year. So thank you, thank you, thank you for helping me to rediscover myself and to give some of my art back to you. Whenever I get knocked it hurts all over again but Im trying to be more confident, and I try to help others too. To all those who support me and make me feel included, much love. x
