Thank you for everyones support today! Josie was picked up by Chamblee Animal Control. The man (Chris Smith) that called said that he felt it was miraculous how she arrived. He came in this morning and saw her in a pen greeting him warmly, of course. There was no paperwork on her. He had a coworker die this weekend that worked for the city for over 30 years. He said he told a someone, Its like JR came by on his way to heaven and left this sweet dog! Josie and Chris became fast friends and he even shared his lunch with her - a chicken soft taco! He refused to charge me anything. Then Leslie Williams, helped pick her up from there so I could finish my client appointments. Leslies daughter is Josies first and best friend so she was very happy. They fed her some more and gave her a bully stick. She was pretty tired when I got her home. Suspicious places around the fence and gate have been double secured and she is resting after yet another bowl of food. Josie is starting her own fan club. The charter members are Leslie Williams because she has cool kids to play with, stayed out very late driving around the neighborhood last night, picked her up, loved on her, etc. Another charter member is Helen Freeman, who started first thing this morning calling around and getting Josie signed up on internet sites as missing. Also my neighbor, Joy Simms, who stayed outside waiting to flag the postman to give a description of Josie today. And Josie also welcomes all of you who called, texted, prayed, shared her information, etc. You belong to Josies Fan Club, too! Attached are two pictures of her at Leslies all safe and sound. I am going to do a little thank you to Chamblee Animal Control. They are a very small operation and on a very limited budget. The guy said that they dont have a microchip scanner and hope to have it in the budget next year. I was thinking of getting one for them since it is So essential to working with lost dogs.
