Thank you for what you said about Alzheimers, and my position as spokesperson for this Awareness Month. A few of you were wondering about the difference between dementia and Alzheimers. Im far from an expert but my understanding is that Dementia is the umbrella term. There are all sorts of dementias, of which Alzheimers is the largest. It is a form of dementia. Alzheimers associations, at least the ones I know, embrace all forms of dementia. Now, Michael does not have Alz. He has another form of dementia they cant quite diagnose. As with all things in his life, he is extraordinary. Im very honoured too that many of you shared your own personal experiences with the disease. Thank you. So important to step forward, out of the shadows. I hope governments have similar courage and also step forward further than they already have. Fortunately there is a great deal we can do to help ourselves, and each other. Theres immense power, too, in the simple act of holding each others hand.
