Thank you to Michael Romano and Gary Schieuger for giving me the tour of the Universal Technical Iinstitute, Avondale campus. I had a great visit with UTI in Avondale yesterday. I was told Congressman Raul M. Grijalva, has not accepted their invitation to tour their campus because they are a FOR PROFIT vocational training school. The congressman believes community colleges can handle this kind of training, I will strongly disagree with the Congressman, he needs to go and see why I disagree with his comment. UTI is a very sophisticated training school with millions of dollars invested in equipment and tools, so the students can have all the equipment necessary to learn how to be the best technicians in the market. UTI places 90% of its students all around the USA. The students, when they graduate are ready to go to work for BMW, GM, FORD, VOLVO, TOYOTA, LEXUS, SCION, PORSCHE, NISSAN, INFINITY, MINI, MERCEDES-BENZ, HONDA, ACURA, BIG RIGS like CUMMINS, FREIGHTLINER, INTERNATIONAL and WESTERN STAR and even HOT RODS and NASCAR; if that is what they chose to focus their training on.
