Thank you to all my friends who signed the change.org petition I previously posted urging congress to extend existing legislation allowing loyal Iraqi interpreters who worked with U.S. troops to apply for Visas. At the time I first posted the petition there were roughly 12,000 signatures. There are now just under 100,000 signatures and the Senate passed a bill late monday night extending the visa program. Now it is up to the House to approve that bill. It is my hope that the House is at least capable of quickly passing this legislation to the benefit of loyal Iraqi interpreters if it cannot reach a consensus on issues effecting American lives.
