Thank you to everyone for your prayers and concern. We are finally home this evening. JC is laying in bed with his dad for some much needed R&R. John is still very tired and a visiting nurse will come and see him tomorrow. He started on a few new meds tonight, Dr. tomorrow and two days next week. Honestly, I dont want to say that my husband is dying, because there is a 1 in 6 chance that he will recover without needing a heart transplant or internal defibrillator. I am doing my best to remain positive. I am exhausted and look forward to getting at least a few hours of sleep now that we are out of the hospital. We realized when we got home that they didnt give us one of his meds, so I will straighten that out tomorrow. He will now qualify for a handicapped placard. It is crazy that a virus spiraled this out of control. I am really scared for my husband and for our son. I just keep repeating the serenity prayer. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Hug your loved ones close. Take a look in the mirror and ask yourself, what can I do to make myself better today?
