Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the council meeting especially those who could stick around until the public comment period. I know from experience that is not easy for busy families. Just a couple of things I wanted to note now that I am able. I know it seems like this decision came out of the blue, which for the public it did. That is due to legislation that requires us to discuss staffing matters in camera (closed meeting). Now that we have released that in camera item I was able to make a motion that staff prepare a report for our next meeting with some numbers and information around the program. It was imperative to me that we have an open discussion around such an important decision as this one which could have far reaching consequences. If you would like your comments and concerns to be heard by all council please consider writing a personal letter or email and address it to Mayor an Council it will then be included on the next agenda.
