Thank you very much for all the Birthday greetings guys! I did have a rather memorable weekend, going kayaking with one of the DoC staff and a trainee Doctor. Steve, Doug and I had beautiful calm water to kayak across the lagoon to where the sea enters, and camped overnight, complete with a few home brew beers and a cosy fire. Quite mild overnight, and great sunrise. Slightly rougher on way back, but nothing significant. All this only an hours drive / kayak from home!
