Thankfulness! In my mind, one of the greatest sins we can - TopicsExpress

Thankfulness! In my mind, one of the greatest sins we can commit is that of ingratitude. We have so much that we are thankful for nothing. We are so grasping for more that we miss the beauty of what we have, and we fail to take time to be thankful for the myriad blessings of today. Years ago, the men of several churches met out on the mountain to pray every Tuesday night. I was a teenager, and for more than four years we met to pray for souls and needs and churches. My mom and dad were saved as a result of those prayers. But I will never forget the prayer of one of those dear men of God. God, we just want to thank you that it is as well with us, as it is! How often we fail to take inventory of how good we have it today, as opposed to how terrible things could be were it not for the grace and goodness of God. As a way of life, are you thankful? Do you ask Gods blessings on your food? My mother may have forgotten much with her Alzheimers but she will always insist on the blessing before she eats. It comes not from the brain, but the heart. Thankfulness is a heart issue.
