#Thankfulnovember, Im thankful for my Dad. My Dad is 73 years old and he puts in more hours at work per week than I do, in a more physically demanding job, he is one tough old fart. My Dad is from Oklahoma and was raised in a very rural environment and has a lot of country Okie sayings that crack me up. I have made made fun of him for being an Okie all of my life because Im a Texan and thats how I roll. Every meal my Dad eats becomes a casserole, he has always taken everything on his plate and mixed in to one pile in the middle. The only meal that he doesnt do that with is steak served with a baked potato. When I was little, watching him do this drove me nuts, because I didnt even like different foods to touch each other, and I ate only one thing at a time. My Dad is quirky, a bit socially awkward, and likes to harp on things that he doesnt agree with to the point of driving me bat shit crazy. My Dad despite the quirks, is a real man, a great man and he loved my mother more then Ive ever seen any other man love a woman. Im thankful for my dad because he has always been there for me and my brother Jeff, and he loves us dearly. One last note about my dad, and I probably told many of my classmates that are now my facebook friends this when we were younger, but it is worth saying again, my dad is cooler than your dad and my dad could kick your dads ass, ;) PS My dad will never read this, because even though Ive taught him how to use his iPad 4 times, he still doesnt navigate a web browser so well. Next time he needs iPad training Im going to have my 4 year old teach him.
