Thanks Arani Sinha for tagging me on this Movie list post. It just took a while for me to make the list - just the 10 most memorable films alas quite a few had to be edited but here is the final list 1.Doshor -I believe this is Rituparno Ghoshs one of the best films ever . Sheer delight to watch Konkona. 2.Subho Mohorot- Again one of Ritu das best adaptation and fantastic casting. Its till date a captivating watch. 3.Maurice - My first ever brush with a Gay love story , set in picturesque English country side and my first ever brush with Ivory Merchant productions. 4.Happy together- its a canvas which I was never exposed to. Lilting music , saturated colours a strange on the road storyline. Its just matter of chance that this is also Gay love story by none other than Wong Kar Wai. 5.Sumo do Sumo dont (a Japanese film) - by far one of the best comedy films I have ever watched. By sheer chance I was invited for this film screening by the Japanese embassy back in Australia and boy was In tears laughing. A must watch for everyone. 6.Before sunrise - thank you Arani Sinha for making me watch this film its still one of my favourites still remember watching it all together cozying up in the Delhi winters. 7.Matrix- just the whole idea of creating a whole parallel world itself blew me away not to say the SFX was way ahead of its time 8.Batman begins- it made Batman more human , more real and the conflicts more sinister. Made me a fan of the Batman series again!! 9.Mirch masala - I think this was the very best of Ketan Mehta . Stunning star cast , silent pauses, possibly the most colour enriched film I have ever seen. Still the screams of the women in the last scene lingers on. 10.-Dil chahta hai - Not the very best example of Indian cinema, but when I watched it back then in Australia as a student from the coziness of my sofa , it made me cry and yearn for my friends and family back home. I realised I was watching a face of changing India. ( for good or for worse Cant complain) ....thus I took the plunge to come back....
