Thanks Emma for giving me the chance to express my gratitude over facebook. I am definitely grateful for you keeping my brother in line ;) 3 things I am grateful for: 1. Privilege: It is a rare opportunity to exist in this world with such choice and bounty. I get to create my life, explore, take time to tune into what I really want. I get to be selfish. I get to be creative. I live comfortably and have so much support. Sometimes I take this privilege for granted, but it is something I am grateful for every day and do my best to have this reflected in how I carry myself and interact with the world. 2. Responsibility: The ability to respond to life and all its stormy weather. My faculties are all in tact, and though Im often challenged by the idea of stepping up or rising to the occasion, I am able and willing to show up and represent myself and my beliefs. I am responsible for my actions and where they take me, and that is a gift I am truly grateful for. 3. The Unknown: All of that stuff over there somewhere, out of my conscious grasp. Those things that dont make sense, or have no sense, or are nonsense! So grateful for the questions that hang around me like flies, keeping my curiosity company and occasionally making me feel like shit. The confusion and the frustration and the absurdity help me remember that none of it really matters, and that Im not in it alone.
