Thanks Kevin Chilcutt for starting another rant :). Sidewalks?? Per A citizen request???? I am not opposed to sidewalks but come on. How many people died over how many years before we finally got a stop light at 331N and 90? We had to petition for lights at Bruce and Shoemaker after years of pointless accidents? More concern at the council meeting over how a school crossing would affect the historical feel of the lakeyard than the safety of children. I was at that meeting. Embarrassing. Someone wants a sidewalk so we better get a sidewalk. How many people use those sidewalks? Nothing wrong with sidewalks but the absolute lunacy that determines what is important, both in government and in healthcare just makes my head spin. We need JOBS. INDUSTRY. Then maybe people can afford to walk to the store and use the sidewalks. Instead Walton County harrasses every prospect out of town. There just is no excuse...
