Thanks and congratulations to Mr. Karl “Great Christian Hymns of Our Time” Fuller, J.P., and his remarkable committee for a feast of music probably never before seen in this parish, at the St. Ann’s Bay Parish Church last evening, The presentation was enjoyed by an overflowing and appreciative audience in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the pipe organ in the church. Musicians and soloists of national standing included Godfrey Taylor, Brandon Goffe, John Davis, Glen Williams, Karen Smith, Dawn Fuller-Phillips, Rory Baugh, Lt. Com. John McFarlane and Carole Reid. Mr. Fuller who has not been in the best of health recently, has been organist at the church continuously since 1958 and has completed 55 years as organist there. Nobody would know that he has not been 100% though, as beaming from ear to ear he met and greeted his many friends who were there to celebrate with him and the church. He was lauded and embraced by the audience and congregation alike and received several standing ovations in appreciation of his work at the church. The committee’s promise to make the musical experience an annual event beginning on September 1, next year was received with acclaim by an enthusiastic audience. The audience was headed by the Custos of the Parish the Hon., Radcliffe Walters and his charming wife Norma and included several dignitaries from both inside and outside the Parish.
