Thanks be to God that nobody was hurt when a rocket hit a Caritas centre in the Syrian city of Aleppo yesterday afternoon. The rocket skidded in front of the parich priest, throwing him to the ground before hitting one of the offices and ending up in the waiting room, without exlpoding. An hour later, the room would have been full of families collecting their food baskets. On any other day the Caritas team would have been in their office, but thanks to miracle they had been delayed. “We are only alive thanks to God and the protection of St. Joseph, patron of the Church,” said Mony Tayyar, the team leader. “We pray God guides government officials and all responsible for the conflict in our beloved Syria to find a just solution and restore peace in the region,” said the Caritas Aleppo team in a message.
