Thanks everybody for your prayers &?messages of support today. I went to theatre at about 3.30 and was back on the ward by about 6.15. All went OK I understand and the infection has not gone as far as my sternum bones. The infected areas have been cut away and flushed and the wound packed and dressed . In a day or so they will put vacuum dressings in place . I will be in hospital for a few days and am having IV antibiotics 4 times a day to kill off the infection.
