Thanks(for)Giving Note to my friends from the LA Music Community of members and friends of ASMAC. I always appreciate your thanks(for)giving my time and energy to ASMAC Master Classes. I really do. I also want to let you know that I would never have had the pleasure of doing this if it wasnt for my dear old mentor David Blumberg and in turn his incredible mentor, Spud Murphy. Spud made it his duty to get his students and fellow arrangers involved with this wonderful organization of Arrangers, Orchestrators and Composers (all with a capitol letter to honor their talents as a Professional of the Arts and not just some assistant in the process of making music). All these fine people who do this are Artists in their own right. They may work in such a way as to not claim the spotlight, but they as talented or even more than the artists that they help along to achieve those great performances be it on recordings, live performances, film, tv, etc. David Blumberg also engaged in this process of bringing new members (friends in the music community, students and others) and was one of the folks responsible for coaxing the Board to purchase their first video camera to archive our important events (Master Classes, Luncheons, Golden Score Awards, Anniversary Parties, Holiday Parties, etc.) Its an honor to be one (along with others of us) who gets to spend some time with these wonderful Arrangers, Composers and Orchestrators in preparation of this ongoing series organized and presented by the various members of the ASMAC Board of Directors and their fabulous friends in the field and the great guests that give of their time (yes, gratis 100%) so as to pass the craft and their particular knowledge and skills onto the current and next generation of Artists. In addition, our hosts are also great Artists and help to facilitate the Master Classes in a friendly/cordial manner while digging out the great musical treasures within the music presented to help the conversation have a full body of musical flavor. I want to wish you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING and hope that your families are safe and healthy and that you enjoy the holidays with great food and company. Cheers!!!!!! and lots of LOVE
