Thanks for a very fine presentation of the real facts and information we Taxpayers need in analyzing, evaluating and making decisions on the very important issues that Citizens are being asked to support, oppose or about which in most instances demand additional info. Lingering questions despite Mayor/Councils unanimous vote for rail: (1) Will Feds come thru - nytimes/2014/04/04/us/agreement-on-interstate-repair-needs-but-not-on-how-to-pay-for-them.html - and if not Taxpayersre stuck with the 1.4 Billion cost? (2) Current example of similar pig-in-the-poke approach by City officials - Waller Creek:- - mystatesman/news/news/local/austin-officials-mum-on-waller-creek-tunnels-18-mi/nfw9k/ - & astronomical legal costs, much work for lawyers as the result & (3) finally; lets recall Grandaddy of em all, AEs $2.3 BILLION wood-burning power plant:- austinchronicle/news/2008-08-22/663310/ - & its reported losses v. any savings to rate-payers {therere those unresolved questions on a single-bid award, too!}- Whats that old canard The Shrub (per Molly) couldnt seem to get right, Fool me.., etc?-
