Thanks for accepting my request to join the group. Firstly, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Robert Armstrong, and I am the Digital Media Coordinator at Qantas Virtual. I was asked to create a new promotional video for 2015, and managed to get it done and uploaded last night. As for my interest in aviation and flight simulation, I have always been interested in aviation, most likely because of my dads interest as well as his occupation of being the Chief Fire Rescue Officer at Riyadhs King Khalid Intl Airport in Saudi Arabia. Thats where my interest really kicked off, when I got access to walk around the fire station and get rides on the tarmac, visit the airport often, and even get exclusive access to some remote parts of the airport like visiting the control room in the control tower. As for my interest in flight simulation, I started back in 2006 when I bought FSX Deluxe. Since then, I have learned a bunch of interesting facts about flying as well as learning each and every day. Since buying a new desktop PC, Ive started learning how to create unique photos and videos of my simulator. Each year, my photos get better and more realistic. I recently learned a new technique in my photo editing program that allows me to separate the aircraft from the background scenery to give each photo a more realistic look. Im sure Ill be able to attach a photo as well as the Qantas Virtual video. If not, Ill simply post the photo in the comments section. Hope that this year will be the start of something big in my future.
