Thanks for admitting me to the group. A few years back I spent some months in Japan, where I heard the aphorism Every man should climb Mount Fuji once in his life. Only a fool would do it twice. It was in that spirit (and after a good meal with too much wine, urged on by the man that will be my crew) that I submitted my application to take part in this years 3RR, not really expecting to be accepted (my referee laughed as he signed the application form and muttered something about wondering what the penalties are for perjury these days), so much so that I also bought tickets for the premiership rugby final at Twickenham this Saturday. So, Im in and getting nervous as the day approaches. My wife says she cant bear to watch, so shes off to the rugby. Ive had three pieces of advice so far. 1. Try to enjoy yourself; 2. Try to get to the finish; 3. Try not to get in anybodys way! Any other tips gratefully accepted :)
