Thanks for the nomination, Haleigh Anne!! I made my donation to ALSA and also did some reading up on the disease and what exactly my money is going towards. Im proud to support the research that ALSA does and hope that all the money that has been pouring into the association can get us a little bit closer to some groundbreaking discoveries, especially in regards to promising prospects such as stem cells and gene therapy. Id also like to expand the challenge to reach other causes that require attention. Id like to spotlight EM2D, an organization my incredible sister Jennifer Fuller Pennypacker introduced me to, with the primary and significant goal of ending childhood malnutrition. But EM2D is special because it puts a twist on charity, adding a social entrepeneurship aspect to the cause where donors are rewarded, using microfinance to change the face of charity and to make a difference in a unique and exciting way.
