Thanks for the noms Ruth, here are 7 things about me not everyone knows. 1. I am double jointed in my thumbs. my neice Ruth and my daughter also have the double joints, or useless thumbs. Our thumbs bend back to a 90 degree+ angle. Its a nightmare trying to button up stuff, and giving thumbs up is a slightly awkward affair. 2. I have webbed toes. my 2nd and 3rd toe on both feet are joined together about half way up the toes. I used to be excrutiatingly embarrased about it, now I whip my feet out at any given moment and show people. 3. I have had 13 paid jobs. I have been sacked/walked out of at least 4 of said jobs. I have now given up on paid employment and work voluntary. 4. I am a qualified beauty therapist. I have never worked in a salon or worked from home I was training in nails and massage in order to get a job in a salon, but half way through my nail course I got a full time job in a clothes store and gave up the course, which I have always regretted. The reason why I regret it, is that although I was promoted to a store manager within 6 months, the store job ended up being one of the worst experiences of my working life. Im still working on forgiveness. 5. I am a qualified classroom assistant. I still dont know what made me take the course, probably something to do with I had to or Id loose benefits and it was the only course I could do. I remember right up to the day I began, I was a little worried as I didnt really like other peoples children, and I was almost convinced Id quit the course after a few weeks, however, I absolutely LOVED working in the school and stayed there 3 years unpaid, 2 years in training and one year just as a volunteer. One of the reasons why I have never went for a job as a classroom assistant is that I feel guilty taking a job that someone else might really need, when I can survive perfectly well as I am without a job. 6. I used to dance freestyle disco and won loads of competitions. The team I danced with won several championships and we were twice in a row the UK champions. One of said championships we won after all of the team being in a minibus crash. We also danced in the waterfront hall for the duke of edinburgh and met the Duke himself ( prince phillip the queens hubby)He asked us if we could also read and write. 7. I dont really love chocolate. I could happily and easily go the rest of my life without ever eating it again. Occasionally I will have a wee notion for something sweet and ill have a little peice of something with chocolate in it, for example a quality street. I couldnt eat any more than one bit tho, it would turn me. and yes, I am a female :) The smell of melting chocolate makes me heave, as does tea that comes out of a teapot and warm bananas.
