Thanks for the update Cheryl. I am pleased to hear that the ISPCA will be adopting a No Kill policy going forward. Anyone involved in animal welfare knows that dogs can smell death at a pound, and it terrifies them. I dont know what the ISPCA are proposing exactly in terms of a behavioural assessment, but I believe that a dog should be taken OUT of that environment, and be given 6 weeks at a rescue centre to assess their behaviour over that period, with knowledgeable people who have had training in behavioural assessment. I will be watching these developments closely.
