Thanks so much to everybody for your input, I would sort of like to change these inputs later to us only reading them, maybe I will figure out how that works but for now, Im reading other input and it makes me know Im not alone. I was sitting here at the computer and heard the ALERT sound from Donnies emergency box go off, he was trying to change the tv chanel with it. They responded of course and I apologized about it being a mistake. I go over to him (still in his hospital bed since last Thurs when it came) and he wants me to tell him where he is. Out of curiosity I asked him where he thought he was, he said a house, I said whose house/ he said they told me not to tell or Id have to leave. I then told him he was at home in his living room at his house, and I would not let anybody come in and make him leave, then he picked up the bed remote trying again to change the channel on tv... you never know whats going on in their mind with dementia. I used to attend Al-anon, Tues. 8-9 pm out 221 north at the AA building in the back, thru it I learned a lot and still live by it. Without Al-anon I could not have appreciated how truly wonderful my life can be in spite of the difficulties. I will find a way to get back there eventually, not sure when, but it worked wonders for me. It helped me to seek serenity even though life was rough, I am more passionate now and more forgiving toward others and I truly believe in myself completely. I would not trade places with a lot of people, I know what Im made of but I dont know what is inside them. Life is good. Al-anon saying: This too shall pass and I believe it will.
