Thanks to Deepak for nominating me for the 10 Best Books I have read challenge !! I started reading books/novels after coming across the works of The Legendary Writer of Tamil Literature - Mr. Sujatha Rangarajan So 70% of the books I read are Sujatha Novels ! Here is my list my best books I have read.. (It is of no order or sequence) 1) Animal Farm by George Orwell - One of the best Satirical novels. It is about the Russian Revolution in 1917 and against communism. The characters involved are animals and the story looks like a Children Tale. Once you are able to relate the animals with the real life characters - Stalin, Karl Marx ! That is when you feel the true nature of this book. Power Corrupts and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely - A simple one line for this book. 2) Ponniyin Selvan by Kalki Krishnamurthy- No need for any introduction about this master piece ! One should have guts to start reading this 2600-page historical masterpiece ! I confess- I havent done reading it yet! 3) Zero Degree by Charu Nivedita - The most chaotic and non-linear book I have ever read and one of the rarest lipogramatic writing ! Touches on topics that no one would ever think of writing. It is not a novel, It is the anti-novel. Truly disturbing, Terrible @#$$% Conversations, Violence- One line of this book. Disclaimer : NOT FOR WEAK HEARTED AND COMMON PEOPLE. 4) Kanaiyaazhiyin kadaisi pakkangal by Sujatha - A true gem of a book to be treasured for life time ! 5) Pirivom Santhipom (Part 1 &2) by Sujatha - Romance, Childish girl, Immature boy, american life style, pure love - A lovely family drama which will bring you tears once you have finished reading this book. The way the writer plays with the characters flawlessly is just amazing ! 6) Nylon Kayiru by Sujatha - First novel by Sujatha sir written in 1968 and still amazing to read - Crime novel ! Twists and Turns are at its best and a typical crime thriller by the writer. 7) Sorga Theevu by Sujatha - First ever Sci-Fi novel in Tamil literature. It is astonishing that this was written in 1970s.The age when Transistor and television was seen by people as alien technology, the writer seamlessly writes about a super computer which rules the world. It is about a mythical land of people who are very much advanced than humans and controlled by a single person with the use of a ultimate super computer. Must read for Sci-Fi fans ! - A trademark Sujathas work ! 8) Many Lives Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss - A book based on real life experiences of the psychotherapist Dr. Weiss. This book tells about the past life experiences and reincarnations of humans. It explains about the fear, anger, passion and all those inner feelings, those are carried forward to next life and it is the reason for you to fear something deeply or hate someone seeing for the first time. It relates to the Karma of hinduism ! Worth a read for Para-normal fans ! 9) Warren Buffet Biography - Legendary Investor and great philanthropist. Inspiring and influential. 10) Crime Novels by Rajesh Kumar - One of the first ever book I have started reading and still a great fan of it. A short crime novel is worth reading during tea-time ! Surprised as how a man could write these many crime novels in ones life time ! Still counting... And I nominate Sundar Murugan, Aarthi Natarajan, Shammeer Sultan, Uthra Swamy for this 10 Best Books read by you challenge !!
