Thanks to J Michael Hayes for sharing this article on the horrible practice that stills exists today -- calling someone a witch or accusing them of occult practices because you dont like what that person is doing. To a much lesser extent, a similar tactic was used to try and ban books in #ClarenceSchools going back to the Harry Potter proposed banning. We need to keep speaking out about these attacks - be they as severe as executing someone for being a witch to banning books because they promote witchcraft or dont fit within your particular theology. They are all ways that certain people use to harm the community at large and other individuals -- using religion as a weapon to impose their will on you, to harm you, to trample your rights.
