Thanks to Rachel Sklar and TheLi.st on Medium for publishing this piece (and pushing me to finish it last week). Were excited about the reception the piece has received so far, and hope this gives readers a different way to think about (a) diversity in Hollywood (b) the real implications of a lack of diversity in entertainment and media, and (c) our inclination to react to everything that happens and instead encourages actions, some very easy strategies that dont involve enriching self-annointed civil rights leaders, or their organizations to make real changes in Hollywood and therefor the world we inhabit.
