Thanks to Shane Stacks ~ Shows what can happen when people get informed of these special elections. Yesterdays Pulaski County property tax (millage) special election result was a RESOUNDING, LOUD AND CLEAR message AGAINST further taxation! Thank you to all who took the time to vote and/or passed information along to others. Not only was this firm rejection of the new tax, but no votes in this percentage in a special election are very (very!) surprising. The word got out and the people spoke! From what I heard most people didnt even know about the special election until yesterday. Thank you again! Ill never forget fist bumping with the guy in his 60s or 70s at my polling location as we expressed our opposition to this new tax before casting our votes. We dont win them all, but man this one feels good! 1.9 Mills Tax FOR . . 3,468 25.31 AGAINST . 10,236 74.69
