Thanks to everyone who commented on or liked my status from yesterday. Its always nice to know so many people are following our progress and offering up prayers for continued good health. My quarterly visits to Dr. Lemings office are the few times I dont mind being boring. It got me to thinking, what other things would wind up on my list of the top ten most boring things...I gave a list a crack and heres what I came up with... 10, The drive from Cincinnati to St. Louis. We made that trip more than a few times while Aaron was going to SLU. Making it worse was our midway stops at the Terre Haute Wendys where they managed to get every order we ever place wrong...very impressive. 9. A Cubs/Astros doubleheader. Especially when being played in Houston. At least at Wrigley the drunk fans can entertain you. 8. Michael Bolton - I dont know how hes supposed to live without the girl in the song (after hed been loving her so long) but I sure could find a way to live without him. I hope Honda car sales plummeted during those horrible Christmas commercials. 7. A Friday night drive through downtown St. Paris, OH. I once read this in an edition of the Vandalia Drummer News. 6. Dick Vitale - After 30+ years, his schtick has worn off. (Well it actually wore off after about 5 years!) You could replay his comments from every game and its basically the same diatribe...over and over and over and over again... 5. The movie Tree of Life. Granted I havent seen every movie ever nominated for Best Picture but of the ones I have seen, nothing comes close to the boredom of this train wreck of a film. Julie bailed on it 15 minutes in but I kept saying it has to get better - it never did. 2 hours and 7 minutes of my life ill never get back. It was so boring it couldnt even put me to sleep...I guess it caused boring deprivation. 4. Political analysts - from Rush Limbaugh to Keith Oberman to Sean Hannity to Bill OReilly to Rachel Maddow....I guess what makes them so boring is they are never wrong. 3. Wannabe Stand-up comics on Twitter....Twitter is fine to get timely information but its becoming more and more frustrating to use because you have to wade through the countless tweets from people who tweet every 30 seconds trying to be funny... 2. Schuberts Unfinished Symphony in B Minor. At least thats what Homer Simpson says... And.... 1. Vince Hopkins CT scans from February 10!
