Thanks to everyone who worked on, outreached for, and turned out for todays historic event. It was so powerful to be together at the port with several thousand people. Many folks in our extended community including Catalyst volunteers, former interns, alumni from Anne Braden Programs in past years, mentors and allies helped to organize logistics, transportation, food and medical support, tactical and safety coordination alongside the core organizations that pulled together this successful action. Much gratitude to you all, as well as to the critical leadership from organizations including AROC: Arab Resource & Organizing Center, International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network, Critical Resistance, generative somatics, BAYAN USA, Middle East Childrens Alliance, The Freedom Archives, and others as well as many rad individuals who threw down hard. Next steps: mobilize against the Urban Shield paramilitary war games for US police forces and foreign militaries including Israel, in Oakland Sept 5-7, and keep building our presence at the port!
