Thanks to last weeks New Music Tuesday from Spotify, I share with you this incredible gem, Spanish Mary, recorded by a musical collective including Marcus Mumford and Rhiannon Giddens. The group recorded recently uncovered hand-written Bob Dylan lyrics, written around the time he produced his album The Basement Tapes. Spanish Mary is soul-stirring and evocative, and the video is downright hypnotic, profoundly provocative, rooted in disturbing spiritual undertones, and a little bit terrifying.
