Thanks to local Megan Faust, Behavior Therapist at Sigsbee Charter School for quick thinking at the White Street Pier which saved the life of this Royal Tern! She persuaded the person who hooked the tern not to cut the line but to reel it in and get it to our center for treatment. Happy to report that we were able to remove the hook after using a technique that employs flexible tubing to reach and dislodge the hook that was deep in the stomach. Thanks Megan!
