Thanx for the tag Prachi Wahi Aastha Yuvraj Puri n Joohi Chandra. Prachi wahi apologies for being so late ! Here is the list of my favorite reads of all time. I may miss many though ! 1. The kite runner . for the poignant account of human predicament that follows separation , for its innocent nature of crime n guilt ! For its nerve wretching twists n dark n secret letters ! 2. The god of small things. For the way arundhati Roy looks at the issue of racism , love n growing up n incest ! 3. The fountain head ! Off course for its protagonist Howard roark ! I wonder how many times have I made love to him ! N of course for his female counter part Dominique n the philosophy that Ayn Rand propounds . 4. The scarlet letter. This is one novel I can read hundred times over . heater Prynne will always remain my hero ! This is one work which is very close to my heart. Hawthorne is a wizard ! N m still in his spell ! 5. Raag darbaari ! Srilal shukla hits hard the society. I absolutely love the humour/ satire in the novel. I remember having read one of the letters .. Love letters in the novel aloud in my MA days n that too in Hindi ! Nostalgic ! 6. The picture of Dorian gray. I finished reading the novel in a Day. I just could not get enough of both Oscar Wilde as well as Dorian gray ! Theunderworld ! The sin ! The crime ! N the enchanting youth f Dorian have kept me glued to the novel. 7. One hundred years of solitude ! 8. The chronicle of a death foretold I have always been amazed by the magic realism of Marquez ! Understanding the concept of time in Marquez has always been orgasmic ! U remwber being in goose bumps reading the catastrophic concluding leaves of the one hundred... 9. All the love poems of john donne for the way he handles the issue of love ! For his spirit that takes love from taboo to consummation ! 10. The wasteland . the corpse that u buried in ur backyard last year.. Has it begun to sprout?? I quoted it wrong perhaps but I guess u have understood what m trying to get at. .I wud like to nominate the following
