That big yellow bus was plowing thru the snow, Trying to safely deliver their most precious cargo. As it slipped and it slid each time it stopped, There was a sigh of relief as another child was dropped. Dropped safely in the arms of someone they love, As they silently whispered thank you to the One above. Then each said a prayer for the others that were still on, Asking for Gods protection till they were all safe at home, Praying for guidance as they tried to hide their fears, As they put on a smile and held back the tears. Knowing their families were waiting on them too, Waiting to give a hug for all that they do. It takes a village to raise a child so they say, But it takes a special breed to get them to school & back everyday. So next time you see that bus thats the color of the sun, Take a moment and tell the driver JOB WELL DONE!!! By: Faye Carter
