The 2014 Special Olympics’ Field Trial (7th Annual) held in Elizabeth City, NC on 4/5/14 benefitting Special Olympics’, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and Children Today leaders Tomorrow (CTLT) was a success. The weather was great for the event and the support we received was unprecedented. The support this event gets each year amazes me and only grows each year. I want to personally thank everyone who was involved from the bottom of my heart whether you donated, cooked, judged, entered hounds, sold raffle tickets, bought raffle tickets, etc. etc. it would not be possible to have a successful event like this without each and every one of you. This year we were able to accomplish many things and one of them was to finally get a positive story in our local newspaper about the event, thanks to Jeff Hampton of the Virginian Pilot’s North Carolina office. We raised well over $13,000.00 this year and set a new mark to strive for and eclipse at next year’s event. I want thank the following businesses’ and people that made this event one for the ages.
