The 2014 season has come to a close for the DogNPony show. Brookles Sweat absolute predator in the back-court - huntin gators with the pony flowin and a Luke Bryan soundtrack on repeat in her head. Big ups to Nick for being the loneliest fan on the FIVB and AVP tours. Borderline ashamed to admit this, but my mom, Merle, arranges all of my flights and hotels, and has been my numba one fan since March 20, 1982. Anthony, youve taken numerous unorthodox measures to get this body moving in unorthodox ways. Troll, for accepting nothing less than greatness and 100% effort in the Yard Training Center. Lisa Michelle Hoffman - the body control and movement patterns Ive learned from you are simply invaluable. Alisa Wyatt Pilates - youve been kicking my butt and healing my body at the same time with your workouts for years now. No one has walked all over me more than Ui Eli - Competitive Edge Sports Therapy. Literally. Arri, youve pinned down, poked and prodded my shoulder and hips and knees like no other, and its helped keep the Velvet Hammer loose and firing. Chad, for going above and beyond to keep us firing on all cylinders during our grueling travel schedule and through some tough, nagging injuries. To all of this years med staff on the FIVB and AVP - youve been beyond patient, and I am so appreciative of your non-stop efforts. Dhiraj and Aila, for helping us tap (literally) into the amazing power of the mind. Culpepper and Dan - the hardest working, least appreciated tandem both sides of the Mississippi - those nets dont put themselves up! Donald, Steph, Dustin, Jeremy, El Jefe Conover, Bethany, Mpu, Abbey and Geena, and all of the AVP staff and volunteers - youre one classy crew, and Im proud to be a part of the AVPs momentum. Referees - youre so under appreciated - standing in the blazing hot fyah for hours on end, with Nick Lucena lobbing insults and objects your way - your patience and professionalism is unmatched. Except B-Lee. Get your act together. Geeter, Dain and Amanda, thanks for the on-air love and for taking the time to get into our backstory. SpiderTech Taping - youve supported my dreams and my limbs, and Im so grateful to have you on my team. ZICO Coconut Water - youve kept my smoothies fresh and my fridge stocked - no cramping for this gal! - youve been with me through a lot. All of my past partners... I would not be the person or player I am today without learning and growing with each of you along the way. Sean Scott, Aaron, Jason, Troy, and all the USA Beach staff - thank you for the hard work and countless, thankless hours you all put in. Alex Jonsie and Kyle- battling against you two made tournament competition seem easy. Lori and Regan, Im lucky to have such loving and supporting in-laws. In return for your loving support, one day I hope to bear you a grandchild. To my roommate, Kevin, thanks for keeping Jurassic Park in check during my travels and for keeping me company while I ice my entire body on the couch while scouring the waiver wire. Last, but certainly not least, thank you to my coach and husband, Andrew, who always knows how to navigate and balance the two sometimes complicated roles with grace, ease and a sense of humor that I adore. Finally, if youve read this post through this far you deserve credit too.
