The 2015 Nigerian presidential election is as much a referendum on the past six years of the present regime as a competition among the presidential aspirants. For example, the referendum in the South East needs to address the following earlier promises of the regime to the zone: 1. Coal powered electricity generating plant. 2. Second Niger bridge. 3. Onitsha seaport. 4. Oguta seaport. 5. Dualization of the Lokoja to Enugu road. 6. Dualization of the Enugu to Makurdi road. 7. Resurscitation of the Enugu to Maiduguri railway. 8. Maintenance of the Enugu to Onitsha expressway. 9. Maintenance of the Enugu to Portharcourt expressway. 10. Maintenance of the Umuahia to Ikot Ekpene highway. 11. Maintenance of the Aba to Ikot Ekpene highway. 12. Enugu-Ogoja-Cameroon border international highway. And 13. Enugu international airport.
