In a threatening statement, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiam responded, “They cannot be allowed to continue committing these insults, but if there are elements which allow them to be brought to court, then the first phase of implementing the Sharia Penal Code Order in April will be very relevant to them.” Pray for Sultan Hassanal Bolkiam and his family to believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior. Pray for the Brunei government to listen to its citizens and repeal the Sharia Penal Code Order. Ask the Lord to protect Believers in Brunei from severe persecution by Sharia law (The Bible, Psalm 17:8). LEBANON, MIDDLE EAST #Pray4Lebanon Lebanon is home to the Shia group Hezbollah, who sides heavily with President Assad’s government in Syria. Hezbollah is fighting against the Sunni Syria freedom fighters. Lebanon has many Syrian refugees from both sides of the conflict. Pray for the Lebanese government to know how to protect Lebanon from increased war within its borders. Pray for the refugees to have their needs met. Pray for the Lebanese church Cand others who are bringing relief to both Shia and Sunni Muslims, may God draw them all to Himself (The Bible, John 6:44).
