The 58 year old i this story is my sister Donna. The suspect my friends who set her home on fire and tried to burn her to death while she slept is her home, is her violent boyfriend. My sister remains in guarded condition with 30% burns to her torso, arms and face, cuts from jumping out of her window, severe burnt lungs, and she was just removed after a month from life support, now to learn to talk with a tracheotomy. I share this story for two reasons...First: her boyfriend has a violent past, yet she chose to ignor he tried to kill his previous wife, and was violent to my sister on many occasions. A person with such a past DOES NOT CHANGE! Second....I spent hours on end trying to find my sister, only to finally yesterday learn she was fighting for her life for over one month unconscious and intubated with not one immediate family member aware she was a victim of a crime and in a hospital fighting for her life. Never notified people from authorities! After my last desperate call to Anniston Police after hanging up thinking they too was a dead end, did an investigator call me back to tell my my sister was almost killed and in ICU. Oh sure I am a former police officer to use my tools to find her, but had I not done so, even now, Anniston Hospital and Police did not ever notify the next of kin with all their vast knowledge, police software and more ability than me at their fingertips. Please pray for my sister.
