The 6h endurance report! Myself, Jeremy, Benny and Shane and our team caption Glen Egan all arrived at Combined Districts Kart Club early Saturday morning. There we met the Kart that we would get to know very well over the course of the day and had brief rundown on what we were in for. A quick look over the kart reviled a number of issues that needed addressing before the kart had even turned a wheel. After a disappointing qualy we discovered the kart had the wrong size rear rims, thru this the kart had way to much rear grip and was going to destroy the front tires very early in the long race. So we opted to cop a rear of grid penalty by changing the rear rims to the correct size rims before the race started. With a string of, lets say rookie mistakes! Very bad radio communication! Still having to much rear grip, which did destroy the front tires at 3 hours! Forcing us to fit new fronts. And 3 of our 4 drivers being more than 15kg over weight! I think starting from 19th and finishing 6th was a bloody good effort. Thanks to the whole crew at CDKC.
