The ACC would like to give a big thank you to Chris Sanderson for giving Babe now Monty a great home. You all remember Montys story, he was found with a terrible case of mange, so bad that his eyes were swollen shut. This is the worst mange case we have seen at the ACC in some time. Cases like this a generally caused by bad breeding, in that the puppies are nursing off a mother who has mange. After treatment was started we discovered that Monty had eye issues, and some outpatient surgery was performed on his eye lids. When he closed them they would rub up against his eye causing irritation. Again this is a birth defect caused by irresponsible breeding (spay/neuter everyone!!!). Monty wasnt with us to long as Chris agreed to foster him and continue his treatment at home, while the ACC continued to care for Monty medically. He is fully recovered and loving life, and has been officially adopted. Thanks Chris for putting in the extra effort for a dog that really needed some time and patients you deserve a round of applause!
