The African American Arts Institute is proud to present its 20th Potpourri of the Arts Concert. This annual tradition began in 1993 and was created by the ensemble directors. Potpourri’s purpose is to embody the spirit of African American performance via its three ensembles; the African American Dance Company, the African American Choral Ensemble and the IU Soul Revue. Each ensemble will perform individually. These individual sets are sure to exhilarate the audience. And when you think it’s all over, all three ensembles will grace the stage together in a collaborative finale piece. This year’s finale theme is Shades of Blackness; Expressions of the Diaspora.
