The African conference on Green economy was held in Oran, Algeria, and culminated in proposals and recommendations for the transition to an economy that ensures further respect of the environment. African policy makers, representatives of international organizations, experts and civil society agencies aimed to identify areas of international cooperation, including South-South and intra-African exchange of successful experiences and to assess Africa’s needs in terms of financial and technological support and training of human resources.
